I ALMOST didn't manege to finish this strip,
arrived late home and was exausted... but I pulled
through anyway, AND had a "very" improvised stream...
But had fun and chatted vocally with watchers, HAD
LOADS OF FUN! and cool insight on the series o.o
So, answer me this, How would the main
character's voices sound like?
Greetings Baker, I would have loved to stay longer with the stream but the short time i was there was fun. Hearing your voice was just awsome, i hope you do it more often now. ^^
For the charakters, i can't really imagine a voice that would fit them so i'm passing on this question. ^^'
One last thing: for the surprise i announced, keep a bit of free space on your wall. You will need it. ;)
Loved the stream last night! Everyone seemed to love the new voice thing, and so did I.
As for the question, I'm going to pass because i cant really describe how I picture their voices. Lol
the stream was fantastic as usual! i was sa i had to leave so soon:( but i really liked the whole voice audio. can't wait for future streams;) the question though, i can't answer for all the characters, but pucho has a cheerful voice full of expression, pituka has a somewhat girly voice that is high pitched, and nelly has a deep loud voice.
I feel like whoever voiced for Pucho in your animated shorts on YouTube sounded really fitting. He had that bounce to his voice, and it just resonated correctly with the way Pucho was drawn.
I always thought Nelly would sound nice with a British accent (actually I thought she HAD a British accent).
That voice in my head that reads the dialogue for pervy as some 70s disco guy mixed with a higher pitched-fast talking voice.
For Pituka... God that's difficult. I guess a sorta light cutsy voice would work but, with a lot of curiosity and fascination. Her voice in your animated short would work well if it had more emotion.
For Pucho, just use Ian Cortlett, one of the Goku's from Dragon Ball Z's english dubs. Maybe Michael Sinterniklaas' voice as Leonardo from TMNT. Can't do any better for raw stupid clueless unbridled optimism. Somehow the characters' these kinds of voices portray always ends up on the winning side. It's so damn annoying, since you know these guys are going to win, it's already in the voice. Pucho's voice from the short online sounds like a derpy Don Knotts (no offense, never heard his voice sound like that before when I read the comic). Goku's voice shows you don't have to sound dumb to be dumb, remember that.
Pituka's voice from the short you made for Youtube is highly annoying, way too girly. The voice reminds me of a girl in high school that still talked like she was five when she was eighteen, not a really good idea. Pituka is supposed to have a Master's from college? Maybe a more mature voice? If you want to keep her girly/derpy at least make her sound like an excited Japanese schoolgirl. That's excusable.
For Nelly, use a voice that sounds like Tanya from the Red Alert series (unfortunately played by many different actors). No nonsense fighting machine, looks good yet untouchable, violence all around, fits the bill entirely. There are some comments floating around that her accent should be British; I'm okay with that, just make sure it's a fighting voice.
Pervy, maybe a voice like Freddy Mercury's? Well, Pervy is not really a singer... Maybe the voice of "Buddy Cole" from Scott Thompson's skits in The Kids in the Hall? I kind of picture Pervy as one of the male fashion models in the movie Zoolander who dies in the "freak gasoline-fight accident"; very outgoing and funny until he gets hit in the face by Nelly again with the wrench. Voice should reflect that?
Astrid, um... maybe a Russian voice of some sort? Something vaguely Eastern of some kind of European/Russian stock; we have stereotypes to fulfill here! Seriously, think EASTERN, and you're done.
I think that all of there voices would doing like caricature varients of my own real life voice like when I read the comic in costume in front of mortified young children.
the guy in the middle should scream in an alto voice as they do in the movies when a male is being castrated or kick in the ... or when they are given a tight wedgie. I said guy because I'm assuming he's male. A just think what they're doing to him. Are they going to use him as a football next with tires for shoulder pads. He can now say I did it with a pair of hyena's in the dark.
Expect me to not be at the streams on monday much, school and early to bed prevent meto see them, but good that this will update on the MWF update sync for the other ones I read.
As for character voices, the same as the animatic and Astrid sounds like a British Egyptian
Ooh! mondays and fridays! thats a lot better.i also like how all the characters are in the picture now instead of just pucho and pituka. looks great:) unfortunately, depending on what time you start the streams, i will have to go to work on mondays:,( but other than that, I think the monday and friday switch wil work out a lot better.

Okay, rambled on enough. Just my two cents worth.
