El Zorrito
Hellows my cookies!

Have a Batty day, now that you have
seen the well mannered but shady as the hour after having sunburns BAT! Meet Oscar,
the colossal bat! what does he want, and
who might be twisted enough to be this
fiend's employer?

So, answer me this, Which is the
character that convinced you this
was a series for you?

I guess pucho because he was on the ad that made me feel like reading it. If that can be an answer for the question.

Pucho at first, then Pervy. Pervy just seems like that cool guy... That guy that it would be fun to hang around at some points, but at other times, not so fun.
Kouma 9th Jan 2016, 7:05 PM edit delete
Not one perticular character - what drove me in was how the characters played together and the the world they live in (and interact with) and the art style and...

Yeah, if I really HAD to CHOOSE, it would be Pucho. He is the character I can relate with the most, since he pretty much acts like I would in given situations.

The characters that sold the comic for me was Nelly and Pervy! Luna may be my favorite but it was Nelly and Pervy's relationship that hooked me in.

pucho made me come

for some odd reason i feel that if oscar and pervy were in a rough and tough gang those to would fit the description of AC/DC's back in black.

I saw you fix it in the stream, but the signature on the page is still 2015.

I decided this series was for me cause of Luna, when she first mentioned Gypsies

Hmmm... well I don't remember the first page I looked at, as I tend to always start from the beginning, but I do remember finding Pucho's situation in the beginning hilarious, particularly when Pervy got involved. So I guess the real answer is Pervy, but Pituka is who probably got me the most invested. Why? Cause I'm a romantic sap who has a particular soft spot for people who are shy around their love interests.

It was Pucho, but it then quickly went to Nelly. I like her nature.
Dr Mad 10th Jan 2016, 1:12 AM edit delete
Character? I think it was the story itself, going all the way back to Dante in pencil and seeing all the changes as the strip progressed that made me stay. It is like watching history. The fact that you try to update 2x a week is gravy, there is just so much material out there too.

This one is actually quite hard, but I would have to say what caught my attention was in the very beginning when Pucho shook Pervy's hand and then the response was an angry looking Pervy with a sign saying sniff it. The comedy between those two in that seen really made me want to continue reading. I wanted to see more hijinks between the characters as well as a good story unfold.

To be honest it was Tammy.

Huh... I thought imagined him with a stereotypical vampire accent until he said "blimey"

I hope I'm getting Oscar's accent right.
Is it supposed to be cockney or some other British accent?
Because so far I'm dead-set on a Scottish accent.

To answer both your questions, Baker, I'm guessing Oscar's employer is that ferret guy (he seems to be the right kind of shady for it, although I don't see a reason for it); and there wasn't exactly only a single character that convinced me that this was a series for me, but if I had to pick, I'd say it was Pucho's humorous antics and Nelly's rough 'n' tough personality.

P.S.: Haven't commented in a while - been busy irl... Nice to be back.
CaptainClippy 10th Jan 2016, 1:09 PM edit delete
Has to be Pucho because he reminds me a lot of myself because there are so many conversations that he is clueless in. That happens to me a lot so I can relate.

Oh dear - I'm afraid that I cannot remember exactly at what point in the story I first discovered this comic. I can't even remember how I found it in the first place, so I cannot say which of the characters "sold" me on it I do remember being a trifle annoyed at some of the odd english construction and grammar, but the story, the artwork, the pacing, and the personalities of each of the characters - exposed by their various interactions as the story progressed - made that minor annoyance easy to overlook (although it left me confused sometimes on what exactly a specific character really meant to say).

******
As regards our rather large Fladermaus here - I'm betting that his employer is someone whom we have not previously seen...and I suspect that in the meeting, we and Hos will learn something of his lost roots. I believe a revelation worthy of Dickens is coming!

...but I'm just guessing; I could be wrong, after all. I just remember the cryptic fortunes as read by the old wizard (Tammy's grandfather), and figure that we're due to have some of them become evident.

Hmm, can't say there's a particular character, i just kinda got into the comic as a whole. The characters work well with each other (or fight lol) and that's what makes it for me.

If i may say so, i'm not too sure about the Irish accent... I'm just over the water from the Emerald isle myself so i hear it fairly often. In places around the world it usually gets strongly accented in a kinda steryotypical way when being impersonated so can be hard to phoneticise properly in written dialogue without sounding odd. What have you used as a reference Baker? I strongly recommend watching a few episodes of 'Father Ted' if you haven't already done so- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EuldQ25IE4 - wish i coulda helped out on the stream but i seem to keep missing them lately :(
