Hi my cookies!

Sometimes parents and their children fall apart due to unfortunate events or abuse. Leaving in the children fears of doing the same mistakes their parents did.

So, answer me this, What is your theory on this attempted kidnapping?

Oh. Well this is getting interesting. I figure she would have painful memories of her past with he mom. I'm sure some people can relate to not wanting to follow the same mistakes their parents did. I know I do. Can't wait to see what comes next. As for the question, I think he was looking for Bittens for some group he works for and is paid to do so.

It's such a shame that people start to mimic their abusers in some shape or form. Man, I'm starting to see why Missy was more of a mother to Pituka than her actual mother.

As for that theory, I believe that this attempted kidnapping was planned by Dr. Silkysnout, the physician, who needed some DNA from a bitten to use on the human that Astrid dumped on him and "requested" to use the original formula to ensure the human would stay silent from speaking about Paws Den to any outsider and considering that Pucho is the only bitten lycan in Paws Den, it would be obvious that he needed to send someone to search for him. Though I'm not sure how he knew who Pucho is or that he is a bitten unless he looked through any medical records or reports for any existing bitten.

My theory is! Pucho owes someone some money and they suspect him of attempting to skip out of them so they sent the rogue out to collect him or the owed money with a bit of interest.

Serious Theory: This guy may be someone the Paw's Den has tasked to retrieve bites from the surface and get them underground away from humans. Maybe he doesn't know Pucho isn't freshly bitten.

Comical Theory: His boss from that greasy spoon restaurant he worked at sent that kidnapper to get Pucho so he'll get back on the job.

I doubt Silkysnout has anything to do with it, he doesn't likely not the reason or resources. Pucho is the only recent bitten (I think storyline-wise there was about a decade without any before him) but there are other bittens in the Paw's Den. His issues are more ethical than scientific.

I'm no good at theory-crafting, but I'll give it a shot.

Pucho is being treated a bit like an object here. Since Paws Den tolerates him, this intruder is likely affiliated with another group. Maybe something like... a group that hides in the Silver Forest and was aware of both Pucho (then, Dante) being bitten at the start of the comic, and aware of his powers when he used them to attack the Dream Soldiers after they stole Nelly. It's the only reason I can think of that Pucho would be treated like an object more than anyone else in the party—because they need something of his, or they know of something only he can do. Pretty vague, yeah.

rescue mission, maybe?

I don't believe there's many people that would want to search for him, but that would make sense at a tad.

oh no
her mom sent her to her room when she was a child
how tragic
such abuse

I really don't feel bad, for all we know she earned it. We've not seen enough of her childhood to know if she was a naughty child who deserved some sort of punishment, or well-behaved.

Regarding the kidnapping, I have no idea, this feels completely random to me.

She knows that he is a bitten, not just another one....if I recall he was part of some sort of clan....maby a past member? Or a old friend who could heal him?

Maybe he is a part of a group of bitten gypsies who managed to somehow retain or regain their memories

To the "how tragic, such abuse" guest of indeterminate name, I think it's fairly likely it wasn't that she was sent to her room or anything mild like that. It has been stated before (page 261) that Pituka was raised by Missy in the shadows to protect the Queen's image. It is likely she, Pituka, tried to go outside or go near a window where someone looking in could have seen her. A child could not hope to understand "look Pituka dear, you're not allowed to interact with anyone outside because there is a state of political unrest that could be made much worse if anyone found out you're alive". It's likely she learned this after being old enough, since she did wear an inhibitor for at the very least, long enough to know Pervy before he fell for Nelly. But children are impressionable, and those feelings could be lasting.

A lot of what I just said is conjecture, but I don't think the comic lacks direction or is making unnecessary drama.

I'm pretty sure Missy took Pituka away from the Queen actually, cause Missy couldn't stand how much the Queen mistreated her or something in that directions. Baker hinted at that once, there is even a page to strenghten that statement. Pituka is still raised in the shadows but in the shadow of the Queen and not the public.

To the kidnapping
I would say Maybe Ulrick broadcasted a wanted message on tv, that one lycan was underground at that time ,saw it and though he should bring Pucho back, maybe there is a good reward that made him do it.
Gammablast123 25th Aug 2017, 12:29 AM edit delete
I think it was an attempt to steal him and use him as a hostage because the queen knew about her daughters whereabouts.
